Marketing is about identifying your customers, understanding them, communicating to them and understanding your results. Sounds simple? Well, it’s not! Business to business marketing or (B2B marketing can be even ore challenging. I’ve put together a list of top resources proven to be helpful to small business owners developing or managing a B2B marketing campaign.

As a good starting point I suggest looking at the website b2bmarketing.net. The website offers an incredible welath of information and topics. Simply browse their Knowledge bank and join the growing community. This is a great way to get helpful advice from people who are experiencing similar difficulties and finding successes.

Next I would recommend read the b2b marketing and sales blog from Marketo. Here you can find great information on marketing trends, industry information, tips, strategies, and more. It’s a great blog, I personally follow this blog and believe it’s not only helpful but a great read!

Keep in mind that there are ton’s of individual consultants blogging about this stuff too! [hmm hmm ... Robert for example ;) ]

For marketing strategy it would be wise to read the BtoB Magazine. This is a great resource with free information, white papers, industry news coverage and more.

Those are just a few great resources. Being a good marketer means constantly evolving, learning, and improving, kinda like being a good person. Don’t let the industry pass you by. Stay informed, read, read, break, read again. If you get a chance go to a few marketing conferences (local conferences in major cities are happening all the time).

I hope this helps
